When is the best time to let go?

Well since 2002 I’ve had items and clothing that I thought one day I’ll get to use them. Lifestyle changed and so did the taste about a lot of things in my life.

As I grabbed very good looking bunch of “stuff”, I literally sighed. Then I paused and said to myself, what for Joy? Well I’m losing weight so I could use these again. Well yes I can but that is so not my dress style any more.

When our needs and wants change, when our perception and perspective shifts, when we start to think when we had last used these, wow do we even remember where did we get those? That’s the time you have to let go.

I’d say it’s same for most of situations in life, the difficult practice in letting go is the recognition of when! We make ourselves make an attempt to hang on to things, jobs, relationships etc. to make it work. That’s okay too, but then there is discretion in when to let go.

“There is nothing for you to go back and live over, or fix, or feel regret about now. Every part of your life has unfolded just right.  And so – now – knowing all that you know from where you now stand, now what do you want? The answers are now coming forth to you. Go forth in joy, and get on with it.” -Esther Hicks

My saddest letting go memories is of a fast friend from college. After losing contact with him or shall we say very limited contact for many years after migrating to the USA with this college friend of mine, we connected again. He right off the bat made me aware of our status difference and encouraged me to do more with my life. It annoyed me. It made me realized, it’s that time, when I have to let this one go. There are ways to encourage your friends to get to a better place in life, surely comparison is not one especially if it is derogatory.

“All you gotta do is chill out… Let go of control and chill out…Let it be, trust.” – #AbrahamHicks

Letting go also comes with an awareness when it is time to part. Parting could be healing and resurrecting in many ways. Parting with old items from my previous years just made me open up a little more. Allowed me too move on from my own self.

“When” I recognized, I knew it was time. …it was time to write a new chapter of my life. It’s always now, now is the time to let go, let go all that does not serve you.

2016 is almost here, allow yourself to recognize, when it will be the right time to start a new chapter of your life.
