Change! Emergence!

IMG_8751

Every time we grow in heart, mind, body, and soul, we are brushing through some undesired and unexpected situations in our lives. The photograph stimulated an already known thought within me. To renew the old layer snakes have to shed the old one first and to do so they have to put themselves through tight places.

If you seek changes in your life, do you reflect within, to discover what aspects of you must go, in order to make the change happen. For all purposes, success is not an overnight thing. It takes some doing, knowing, learning, trying, pushing, pulling, failing, rejecting, strengthening, growing, etc. to shape and form your personality or you through life experiences. At any given time, we get to choose.

No one said ever, I was having an ice cream and it taught me enough to change my life around. Seriously, think about it. Maybe you got an idea to do something, you have to take a delibrate action to make it a reality. Those choices and actions will give us the experiences that form us, make us who we are or make us who we become, or make us what we give in to.

One of the declaration of principles in reminds us, “We affirm the moral responsibility of individuals and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey Nature’s physical and spiritual laws.” Pretty simple isn’t it.

My personal journey has been for creating self-discipline with weight loss, cultivating habits that sustains my mind, body connection to support a soulful experience. I am working on it. Recently, spending time with a Cardio Kickboxing Coach, I realized this body isn’t a vessel that would sustain well-being for a long time. It is very much out of shape. I have dragged myself few times out of the five sessions so far, when I did not want to do anything. I know I have to undo a lot of my choices to get to a point and place before I am see any minuscule progress. I want a lifestyle change and not just a change to make me happy overnight and go back to where I started.

When you make a choice, think in longevity. What habits will sustain you for the longest period of time? What choices will lead you towards improvements? Think in this term, we are all good at least one thing. Did it happen by accident? Do you work at it to maintain proficiency? Each practice, that deserves applause, takes time. Examples, doctors, lawyers, engineers, seers, saints, sages, actors, musicians and more.

If life is giving you hard knocks, get back up, dust off, and remind yourself, with this experience, I will choose to be better tomorrow than today! Divide your long-term goals in small achievable sections. Divide those sections into further smaller sections. Each time you complete progress within each section, Celebrate! Give Kudos to yourself.

This is a super valuable quote, “Days are expensive. When you spend a day you have one less day to spend. So make sure you spend each one wisely.” – Jim Rohn

How are you going to spend your day today? OR shall we say, how did you spend your day today?
