There is so much story in this image. Your story. With what you can do with yourself, your self, your time, your life and more.
It is almost the end of June… first six months of 2018 are gone. When you think of this how does it make you feel? What do you reflect on? Those highlights that you missed OR those highlights that you accomplished. Which one first came to your mind? Perhaps it will help you identify how you are wired to think, perceive etc..
Take a few breaths and take an inventory…make a list…yes/no, do’s/don’ts, etc.
Abraham Lincoln once said, ” I have had so many evidences of His direction, so many instances when I have been controlled by some other power than my own will, that I cannot doubt that this power comes from above.”
Isn’t this a great reminder, that a notable leader of worlds history, gives it away and gives up so easily, that he alone did not do it all. There is something, someone bigger than life. That which is always at play. Some call it God, some call it with other names, all – almost all give allegiance to some force that operates along with us, within us, through us and for us.
The alternative observation creates a construct that there is six more months to this year 2018. There is “hope” that we will be able to achieve great results. These accomplishments at this point are a projection. Unless we take steps, actions, make choices we may just as well succumb to these being lofty goals and dreams.
“God provides the wind, but man must raise the sails.” ―St. Augustine
Always dream. Always make slightly larger goals than you can normally achieve. By striving for success you will train yourself to boost your success metabolism. Remember that Rome was not built-in one day. Nothing ever was built in one day. From conception to birth all human life forms go through a phasic development.
Our phasic developments call for constant care, constant nurturing, constant sprucing, constant vigilance so that we get the best results upon completion. We must recognize, what makes us tick. We must understand our own make up. We must be sincere to ourselves. We must at least once a day look into the mirror and ask ourselves – Am I honoring myself by being true to who I am? This question alone, raises our consciousness to discern.
Tolstoy once said for Abraham Lincoln, “…for the rose of his eminence was planted in the muck of his miseries and .. his deeds were strong as a rock and as sweet as the fragrance of roses…”
In actuality this simple observation applies to us all. Our challenges, our limitations, our hiccups, our hang ups, our stumbling blocks, are nothing but stepping-stones that lead us to awaken something within us that is bigger than us. It is just waiting for us to dust off. It is just waiting for us to dig our feet in stronger. It is just waiting for us to get going.
“Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear.” ―Norman Vincent Peale
Stimulate to take action …. what will you be doing next? that will lead you from simple and ordinary to great and extraordinary!
